Pathways to becoming an Early Childhood Educator

Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) play a critical role in providing education and care for young children. Becoming a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in Ontario requires the successful completion of an ECE education or apprenticeship program, and enrolment with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
