Oxford Children’s Services Planning Table
The primary purpose of the Children’s Services Planning Table is to coordinate and enhance services for children aged 0-12 and their families within the community. By bringing together local community organizations to collaborate and share best practices, this group will serve as an advisory and workgroup, dedicated to improving awareness and action related to a critical social determinant of health, early childhood development.
Vision
With a vision to create a community where every child has the opportunity to thrive, the Children’s Services Planning Table will enhance local collaboration in early childhood development by sharing innovative programs, research, evidence synthesis, community partnerships and best practices to advance evidence-informed practice in early childhood and school-age sectors across Oxford County.
Goals
To support the goals and objectives of the Child Care and Early Years Plan 2025-2029, the Children’s Services Planning Table aims to:
- Collaborate: create a collaborative space for knowledge dissemination/translation of best practices, initiatives ad projects supporting early childhood development and school services at the local level.
- Integrate: share all aspects of early years and school age programming including promotion/marketing, evaluation/reporting and program delivery.
- Monitor: collaborate on developing and monitoring local indicators to improve overall health and social outcomes for children aged 0-12.
- Report: share information, best practices, new initiatives, and data with municipal leaders, decision-makers and relevant stakeholders to advance advocacy, community capacity and awareness.
