Choosing the right child care program for your family is an important decision. Oxford County has service contracts with child care operators who deliver quality programs and services in alignment with How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years. All programs for children aged 0-5 listed below are enrolled in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) System, resulting in reduced parent fees.
Effective January 1, 2025 daily parent fees for CWELCC-eligible children are capped at $22/day.

Accessing the licensed child care waitlist
The Oxford County Child Care OneList is where you apply online for all licensed child care in Oxford County. When you apply for child care through OneList, your application will be automatically sent to the child care program(s) of your choice. At that time, you will be added to their wait list but not guaranteed a space. Once a space becomes available, you will be contacted by the child care program for registration.

Oxford County is home to licensed child care centres that provide full-day and part-day care for children from infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Licensed programs are monitored by the Ministry of Education and meet provincial standards for safety, health, staffing and programming. For children in kindergarten through age 12, licensed before and after school programs provide care outside of regular school hours during the school year. These programs offer a safe, engaging environment where children can enjoy healthy snacks, participate in active play and build friendships. Before and after school programs are most often located within schools, with some in nearby community spaces, making them a convenient option for families balancing work and school schedules.
