Moving Permit
Oxford County requires a Road Moving Permit for oversized and overweight loads being transported on Oxford County roadways. The permit includes a schedule of new permit fees and insurance requirement:
- Annual moving permit - $200
- Temporary permit - $75
- Project permit - $75/load to a maximum of $500
The permit system allows Oxford County to use its mapping system to notify permit holders when unexpected lane restrictions or road closures occur, including the location and expected duration of the closure along with any suggested route changes and necessary permit where required.

Paying for your permit
Once you have submitted the completed form you have three payment options:
- MAIL to Oxford County, 21 Reeve Street, P.O. Box 1614, Woodstock, ON N4S 7Y3. Cash or cheques are accepted.
COURIER to Oxford County, 21 Reeve St. Woodstock, ON N4S 3G1 (519-539-9800). Cash or cheques are accepted. - PHONE: Call 519-539-9800 ext. 3915 or 1-800-755-0394 to make a payment over the phone. MasterCard or Visa are accepted.
- IN PERSON at the Oxford County Administration Building, 21 Reeve St. Woodstock, Ontario. MasterCard, Visa, debit, cash or cheques are accepted.
Important: Please ensure you have reviewed the "Provisions and Conditions" portion (page 2) of the Permit and return it at least 5 business days prior to the scheduled moving date.
Projects and studies
New infrastructure development and road improvements are necessary to keep pace with the continued growth of Oxford County. Oxford County's Transportation Master Plan identifies the current and future transportation needs of the community.
