Homelessness Prevention Program
Each year, Oxford County allocates provincial Homelessness Prevention Program funds to local community partners and agencies that support individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
In 2025, Oxford County is launching an online application form for community agencies to submit funding requests. Proposals must demonstrate how they will support communities in preventing, addressing and reducing homelessness, including chronic homelessness. Up to $500,000 is available to be allocated among local partners for the 2025-2026 program year.
The 2025-2026 application period for Homelessness Prevention Program opens August 18 and closes September 18, 2025, with funding decisions expected in late October 2025.
Among other criteria, proposals should:
- be consistent with Oxford County’s Homelessness Response Strategy;
- be used to maintain existing or create new programs within Oxford County; and,
- demonstrate an effort to explore other potential funding opportunities and revenue to achieve self-sufficiency.
