Applications open for the Oxford County Grants Program (May 1 - August 31)
The application period for the Grants Program begins May 1 and closes on August 31
Applications are now open for the Oxford County Grants Program.
The program awards grants to local non-profit organizations that serve to support and advance the Oxford County Strategic Plan and the Safe and Well Oxford Plan. The application period is open from May 1 to August 31 each year, with funding decisions announced in January of the following year.
Local non-profit organizations can apply for funding for activities that address a community-identified need and demonstrate community involvement. Grant applications are evaluated by the Grant Approval Committee based on a number of criteria, including:
- ability to execute the proposal;
- benefit, need and impact for the community;
- detailed budgeting and access to other funding sources if needed;
- project readiness; and,
- financial need.
A portion of funding through the Oxford County Grants Program is dedicated to projects led by local non-profit organizations that advance the goals of the Safe and Well Oxford Plan. Applications may be reviewed by the Safe and Well Oxford Advisory Committee to ensure alignment, supporting continued investment in this collaborative initiative led by Oxford County and its eight area municipalities.
