Proposed Norwich to Tillsonburg Trail

Oxford County is hosting a Public Information Centre regarding the development of a multi-use recreational trail along the former railway corridor extending from Norwich to Tillsonburg

 

About the project

Norwich to Tillsonburg multi-use trail map April 16, 2026Oxford County and the Oxford County Trails Council are partnering to develop approximately 15 kilometres of off-road trail between Norwich and Tillsonburg.

The proposed trail (see map) will provide an off-road active transportation route from Norwich to Tillsonburg providing further connectivity to the Trans Canada Trail, the local trail network within Tillsonburg and on-road cycling routes.

 

Public consultation

A Public Information Centre (PIC) is being held to share proposed plans for trail development. This meeting will include a brief presentation outlining the project, followed by a question and answer period.

The PIC will be held:

Thursday, May 7, 2026
7:00 - 9:00 p.m. | Presentation at 7:30 p.m.
Norwich Community Centre, 53 Stover Street South, Norwich

Oxford County will reach out directly to individual landowners adjacent to the trail to share information and answer questions. Any questions or concerns specific to individual properties will be dealt with through that process.
