Notice of Study Completion for the 2024 Water and Wastewater Master Plan
Oxford County has completed the 2024 Water and Wastewater Master Plan Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study. The plan identifies the preferred water and wastewater servicing solutions to meet Oxford's growth needs to 2046 as well as provide effective ongoing continuity to existing serviced settlements.By this notice, the Water and Wastewater Master Plan report is being placed online on the public record for a 30-day review period starting November 1 and ending November 30, 2023.
Written comments will be accepted until November 30, 2023. All comments and concerns should be sent directly to either one of the contacts listed in the public notice.

Purpose
Oxford County has initiated the development of a Water and Wastewater Master Plan (W/WW MP) to provide the County with strategic long-term water and wastewater servicing strategies to support existing servicing needs and accommodate further projected population and employment growth to the year 2046.
Scope
The W/WW MP is a long-term strategic planning document that lays out the County’s vision and goals for its water and wastewater systems to 2046. The W/WW MP is being conducted in accordance with the Master Plan requirements of Phases 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (2000, as amended in 2007, 2011 & 2015), approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
We want to hear from you
Public participation and feedback is an important part of identifying the servicing needs and priorities of communities throughout Oxford County. All of Oxford’s residents and businesses were encouraged to provide comments through the master planning process.
A first phase of public consultation ran from March to October 19, 2022, and a second phase began in June 2023 with the online Public Consultation Centre #2. Watch the video recording | Download the presentation slides
