Medical Priority Dispatch System

Back to Search

Beginning in October 2026, Oxford County Paramedic Services will adopt the Medical Priority Dispatch System, an internationally recognized approach to prioritizing 911 medical calls based on urgency. The system is designed to ensure that patients with the most serious or life-threatening conditions receive the highest-priority response, while supporting faster, more coordinated use of emergency medical resources.
