Join in the conversation about climate change while learning new crafts at the Oxford County Library Ingersoll Branch
Oxford County is introducing the new “Crafts in this Climate” series to encourage open conversations with residents on the day-to-day impacts of climate change and identify actions and initiatives they want to see.
The first event in the series is Collage Night.
WHEN: |
Monday, March 3, 2026 – 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. |
WHERE: |
Oxford County Library Ingersoll Branch 130 Oxford Street, Ingersoll, Ontario |
Oxford County’s 2023-2026 Strategic Plan identifies “Enhancing Environmental Sustainability” as one of three foundation pillars, with the specific goal of developing a Climate Action Plan. A key part of the Climate Action Plan focuses on community engagement. The Crafts in this Climate series is just one way to brainstorm ideas to prepare for the future and understand localized risks like precipitation, extreme heat and flooding. The group will also discuss the scope of the future Climate Action Plan and how it will examine all the services the County delivers in preparation for climate change.
Share your thoughts and join in a collage craft night with other adults. All are welcome to attend, and participants will enter a prize draw. Find more information about the Crafts in This Climate series and the Climate Action Plan at www.speakup.oxfordcounty.ca.
