Boards and committees for 2026-2030 Council term
County Council is being asked to re-establish existing boards and committees for the upcoming 2026-2030 County Council term: Accessibility Advisory Committee, Land Division Committee, Library Board, Agricultural and Planning Advisory Committee, Active Transportation Advisory Committee, and Striking Committee. Updated terms for Oxford County’s Emergency Management Program Committee are also before Council. On Council’s approval, the County will begin recruiting for board and committee members to serve over the new term of County Council. Oxford’s new County Council will be sworn in on November 25, 2026.

Winter operations update
A review of Oxford County’s winter operations shows that even with experienced staff, established facilities and equipment, and local and technical knowledge, the County’s ability for snow and ice removal has been increasingly challenged by changing traffic demands, population growth, added roads to the County’s network, changing weather patterns and other factors. In response, Public Works is developing a modernized Level of Service (LOS) framework to establish winter response procedures, target road conditions, response times, and priority networks during severe winter events, while ensuring the County continues to meet minimum maintenance standards for snow removal set out under Ontario’s Municipal Act.
