Environment Canada has issued an Orange - Heat Warning for Oxford County. The warning is expected to remain in effect through Friday and may continue into Saturday, with the hottest conditions forecast for Thursday and Friday. Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 31 to 33 C, and may climb as high as 36 C.
Check on neighbours, friends and older family members to ensure they are staying cool and hydrated. Watch for early signs of heat exhaustion in yourself and others, including headache, nausea, dizziness, thirst, dark urine and extreme fatigue. If symptoms appear, stop what you are doing and drink water.
