Construction on Oxford Road 2 (Dundas Street) in Thamesford to begin this fall
Pre-construction meeting to be held September 24 for residents to learn more and ask questions
Oxford County is making transportation improvements along Oxford Road 2 / Dundas Street between 15th Line and Oxford Road 119 in Thamesford in Zorra Township. These improvements are designed to accommodate increasing traffic volumes, support continued growth in Thamesford, and improve safety for all road users.
Members of the public who would like to learn more about this project are invited to attend the pre-construction meeting to view drawings; learn the construction timeline, plans for managing traffic and property access in the construction area; and speak with the project team.

Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of September 28, and is expected to continue through November 2026. During construction, Oxford Road 2 (Dundas Street) is expected to remain open to traffic throughout construction, with two-way traffic maintained whenever possible. Temporary lane reductions, lane shifts, or short-term alternating traffic controlled by traffic-control personnel may be required to complete certain portions of the work.
