This advisory is being issued following a watermain break that occurred today on King Street West. The boil water advisory is recommended as a precaution in case of potential contamination of the drinking water system. All users of the drinking water system in the affected area have been notified of this advisory.

Until further notice, Public Health advises residents to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, making infant formula or juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods or making ice.

This advisory measure is in place until such time as bacteriological tests prove the water to be safe.
