POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Integrated Services, the Community Planning Analyst coordinates the collection, tracking, reporting, monitoring and analysis of data and information relative to Oxford County’s Human Services department and all related program areas including, Child Care and Early Years, Ontario Works, Employment, Homelessness and Housing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in social services, business, data analytics or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in or facilitate community based engagement sessions, conduct research, report writing and delivering presentations.
- Strong skills in qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation methodologies.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to convert data into practical and relatable narrative to use on a regular basis.
- Demonstrated experience with community development and planning.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Ministry-funded programs.
- Ability to demonstrate the required competencies for this position in alignment with Oxford County’s competency framework.
- Experience in the use of computer databases/software applications, including SQL-based tools and/or geographic information systems (e.g., ArcGIS or similar mapping software) is considered an asset.
