POSITION SUMMARY
To provide technical support for the monitoring, reporting and operations of curbside collection and waste diversion programs and waste management operational activities occurring within Oxford County.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College diploma in Environmental Studies, Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience.
- Good working knowledge of handling and disposal requirements of household hazardous waste including the operations of a municipal household hazardous waste depot, classification of hazardous waste and manifesting of hazardous waste as per Ontario Regulation 347 and the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.
- Good working knowledge of computers and MS Office programs, specifically MS Excel.
- Good working knowledge of pertinent Provincial Environmental and Waste Management legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal/written/verbal communication skills.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License is required.
