Bridge closure extended on Oxford Road 29 in Innerkip
The full bridge closure currently in place on Oxford Road 29 in Innerkip has been extended to the end of August
The temporary full bridge closure currently in place on Oxford Road 29, located between 18th Line Road and Elisabeth Street in Innerkip, Township of East Zorra-Tavistock, has been extended to the end of August. This section of Oxford Road 29 is closed to all traffic as traffic is unable to cross the bridge.
All traffic is required to follow the detour route using Blandford Road, Oxford Road 8, 16th Line and Oxford Road 33.
Bridge reconstruction began in early May and is now expected to be completed in August 2026. Extending the full bridge closure has accelerated the construction schedule by several months, moving the anticipated completion date up from November 2026.
Please note that construction schedules are weather dependent and subject to change based on site conditions, contractor availability and other factors.
