Studies
Oxford County undertakes projects year-round to improve water and wastewater infrastructure, roads and intersections, facilities and other infrastructure.
Like all municipalities in Ontario, Oxford County follows the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act when undertaking studies for water, wastewater and transportation projects. Oxford County may also follow different guidelines for studies, reviews or environmental compliance for other projects, for instance energy projects or waste management activities.
Through this approach, the potential economic, community (social) and environmental effects of a specific project are fully considered and well managed before the project is carried out. Provincial legislation also set out the guidelines for consultation with the public and other stakeholders at set points in a project's timeline.
The following are active projects. Public consultation opportunities for these projects can also be found on Speak Up, Oxford!
If you have questions about any of these projects, please contact Public Works - Engineering Services at publicworks@oxfordcounty.ca or 1-800-755-0394.
