Reduced load season in Oxford County – March 1 to April 30

Oxford County wants to remind residents and businesses about the reduced load restrictions (5 tonnes per axle) on several County-maintained roads.

Reduced Load Period restrictions occur seasonally based on weather and road conditions from March 1 to April 30. Watch for the reduced road restriction signs on County-maintained roads with the reduced limits. 

Oxford County designated the start of a Reduced Load Period on March 3 under the authority of Section (7) of the Highway Traffic Act and County of Oxford By-law 6712-2025. The Reduced Load Period designation may be lifted before April 30 if weather conditions allow.
