Deputy Warden appointment

County Council elected Councillor Bernia Martin (Woodstock) on December 10 as the Deputy Warden for 2026. The Deputy Warden, who assumes the responsibilities of the Warden if absent, is elected before the start of each new year in the Council term.

2026 Budget levy by-law

County Council will be asked to approve the 2026 Interim Levy By-law next meeting, allowing the County to collect tax installments from the eight area municipalities. Oxford’s local area municipalities transfer payments to the County for County services in March and June of each year.

Oxford County’s 2026 Business Plan and Budget was passed on December 10, 2025, authorizing a $278.2 million operating budget and a $127.9 million capital plan. To learn more about what makes up your property taxes, visit www.oxfordcounty.ca/budget.

The final 2026 Business Plan and Budget document will be posted to the County website on January 14.
