Paramedic Services Week, May 18 to 24, is the perfect time to recognize and celebrate the skilled paramedic professionals in our community. This year’s theme is We Care. For Everyone. Paramedic services' roles and responsibilities are expanding, with preventative healthcare at the forefront.
Oxford County Paramedic Services provides emergency care for the critically ill and injured, while playing a proactive role in the health system through community paramedicine. Oxford County Paramedic Services is here to help in any emergency.
The Paramedic Chiefs of Canada are recognizing Paramedic Services Week with a different theme each day:
- Sunday, May 18: Health, Wellness and Resilience Day
- Monday, May 19: EMS Education Day
- Tuesday, May 20: EMS Safety Day
- Wednesday, May 21: EMS for Children Day
- Thursday, May 22: Save-A-Life Day
- Friday, May 23: EMS Recognition Day
- Saturday, May 24: EMS Remembrance Day/Canadian Paramedic Memorial Foundation (CPMF)
In 2024, Oxford County Paramedic Services responded to 23,065 emergency calls for service and interacted with over 5,000 patients in the Community Paramedicine program. They serve a population of over 106,000 and cover over 2,000 square kilometers with seven Paramedic Services stations across the County.
Our paramedics are there for us in our community, whenever and wherever we need them.
