Oxford County reminds businesses and multi-residential properties to register for curbside collection services
Oxford County is reminding small businesses and multi-residential properties to register now for new curbside collection services beginning next year.
Oxford County’s new business, commercial, and institutional (BCI) curbside recycling collection program will serve small businesses, municipal buildings and institutions, childcare centres, places of worship and campgrounds. There are no fees for eligible businesses to join, but they must first register online, be located along an existing collection route, and meet program requirements. Business recycling collection starts January 5, 2026, in all eight of Oxford’s area municipalities.
Under Ontario’s new producer responsibility framework, blue box recycling will only be collected for residential properties, not businesses or other organizations. Oxford County Council approved the new business recycling program to meet this need.
Businesses that register for the BCI recycling program will also be offered collection for green bin organics if they qualify after registering.
Multi-residential properties of six or more units are also eligible to join the organics collection program later in 2026. Multi-residential property owners must first register online.
