Oxford County Library Strategic Plan graphicOxford County Library (OCL) is proud to release its 2024-2028 Strategic Plan, which offers a vision for the future of library services to meet the evolving needs of Oxford County's diverse communities.

The Strategic Plan, developed in consultation with community members, library partners, staff, and board members, is a roadmap for innovation and excellence. It reflects OCL's commitment to embracing change, fostering engagement, and providing universal access to information, ideas, and engaging experiences.

The Strategic Plan identifies three key goals, which are:

  • Sustaining service excellence: Enable an empowering and collaborative work environment for our staff and enhance our facilities to continue to deliver outstanding working and visiting experiences.
  • Growing engagement and member relationships: Increase resident awareness of OCL’s programs and services and deepen relationships with existing and new members.
  • Innovating access to service: Purposefully innovate programs and services to enhance access, drive engagement, and improve members’ experiences.

Moreover, the plan makes a pledge to Truth and Reconciliation, committing to providing welcoming and inclusive spaces, services, and collections for Indigenous Peoples and recognizing the unique knowledge, teachings, languages, and cultures of Turtle Island.

As part of the plan's implementation, Oxford County Library will align its yearly business and budget plans with strategic initiatives, monitor performance through key indicators, and collaborate closely with customers, partners, and communities.

The 2024-2028 Strategic Plan is available online at www.ocl.net.
