Woodingford Lodge Committee of Management report

Woodingford Lodge’s quarterly Committee of Management report is before County Council next meeting. A Committee of Management is a requirement under the Fixing Long Term Care Act and is responsible for ensuring compliance with the requirements outlined in the Act. Woodingford’s quarterly report provides an update on various measures and activities such as occupancy level, compliance with Ministry of Long-Term Care legislation requirements, Ministry inspection results, critical incident and mandatory reporting, infection prevention and control, and quality improvement. The report notes that Woodingford is committed to a culture of continuous quality improvement, with a strong focus on fall reduction, to help create a safer and more supportive environment for all residents.

Water and wastewater capacity allocation

Oxford County Council will be asked to adopt a new by-law next council meeting to update the framework and policy tools that manage how water and wastewater capacity is allocated across new developments in the County. Unused capacity is allocated to developers through the planning process, with capacity being a measure of how much of a community’s water or wastewater system can be supplied or treated. The proposed policy would introduce new considerations, such as time limits for development to take place, so that water and wastewater service capacity can continue to meet current and future growth needs. The water and wastewater capacity allocation policy was developed in consultation with Oxford’s eight area municipalities.
