Developing a new Official Plan
Oxford County Council receives the work plan to develop a new Official Plan, a multi-year process that will help direct where and how growth occurs, while supporting complete communities, farmland protection, environmental stewardship, and efficient use of infrastructure and public services. The work plan outlines the broad public consultation and background studies that will begin over the coming months, with a Draft Official Plan expected for early 2028 followed by further consultation. The submission of a final draft of the Official Plan for provincial government approval is expected for 2029.
