Oxford Leads

Oxford County is excited to introduce Oxford Leads—a new leadership development pathway including two new programs to empower current and aspiring leaders to take ownership of their professional growth and career progression.
This infographic illustrates Oxford’s new leadership pathway, which supports staff growth and development at every level. It highlights learning opportunities available to all employees and serves as a road map for progressing your leadership skills.
To support this pathway, two new leadership programs will launch in January and February 2025
Who's it for: Members of the Extended Leadership Team identified through talent conversations
Goal: To continue building and refining leadership skills
When: Launching in January 2025
The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a one-year program for a cohort of 25 current leaders at Oxford County. It kicks off in January 2025 with a strengths assessment and workshop. Leaders will then gain access to self-paced, on-demand virtual modules, accompanied by in-person Leadership Cafes, to learn and practice skills with peers, all supported by interactive tools and resources to track goals and measure progress.
What to expect
- An investment in your development at Oxford County (not a guaranteed promotion).
- Resources, support, and an opportunity to practice the skills you are learning with peers.
- Regular feedback from peers and leaders; you are encouraged to ask for it!
- A culture of ownership: you own your development and plan and can lean on your peers, leader, and Learning & Development Specialist for support when needed.
- A time commitment of approximately 4-5 hours each quarter for independent learning and interactive sessions with your cohort.
- Learning topics will be aligned with the competency framework and selected based on the greatest development needs within our extended leadership team.
