About this project

Oxford County is undertaking construction work to rehabilitate bridge #12362 on Oxford Road 12 (Mill Street) located between Main Street and Park Row in Woodstock. The bridge crosses Cedar Creek and is partially located under a CN rail line on Oxford Road 12. The work includes rehabilitation of the structure, including asphalt and concrete restoration works as required.

Construction will begin on April 24, 2023 and is expected to be completed by September 2023.

Project impacts

Traffic control

Oxford Road 12 will remain open while construction is underway, with two-way traffic maintained through staged traffic control.

Access to property located within the area will be maintained; however, intermittent restrictions may occur as work progresses.

Buses on the City of Woodstock’s Route 7 will be detoured for the duration of the project.

Safety

Stay safe and avoid the work area during construction. Respect work zones and obey traffic signs. Maintain a safe distance from construction equipment and vehicles entering and leaving the site.

Garbage & recycling

There should be no impact to regular household waste collection.
