Our Primary Care Paramedics provide care across diverse urban and rural settings throughout Oxford County.
POSITION SUMMARY
Paramedics are an innovative and dynamic team who focus on patient care and the well-being of each other. Responsible for responding effectively under pressure while adapting to diverse environments to deliver patient care to Oxford County residents. Follows the standard of Patient Care, reports, and documentation in accordance to Part 5 of the Ambulance Act (Regulation 257/00), as well as internal reporting and documentation requirements. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Primary Care Paramedics must meet the requirements listed in Part 3: Qualifications of Emergency Medical Attendants and Paramedics – Land Ambulance Services, Section 5 – 8 of the Ambulance Act (Regulation 257/00).
- In summary, this includes:
- Education Requirements.
- Valid Ontario ‘F’ level drivers’ license.
- Vaccination requirements.
- CPR Certified.
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain professionalism while under pressure.
- Completion of the Ottawa Paramedic Physical Abilities Test (OPPAT) is required.
- An acceptable Vulnerable Sector Record Check will be required.
