Oxford Road 59 construction update for East Zorra-Tavistock and Woodstock
Oxford County is providing an update on construction projects taking place along Oxford Road 59 in East Zorra-Tavistock and Woodstock.
- Reopening August 8: Culvert replacement on Oxford Road 59 between Oxford Road 17 in Woodstock and Oxford Road 8 at Hickson in East Zorra-Tavistock will finish this week, with the road reopening on August 8.
- Closing August 11: Oxford Road 59 between Braemar Sideroad and Oxford Road 8 (Hickson) in East Zorra-Tavistock will again close August 11 for approximately four weeks for Enbridge Inc. to carry out planned maintenance work on a natural gas transmission pipeline.
- Re-opening in August: Oxford Road 59 (Vansittart Avenue) at Devonshire Avenue in Woodstock will reopen in August, restoring two-way traffic over the bridge. Devonshire Avenue east of Vansittart Avenue to Victoria Street remains closed as part of a multi-year project to improve Devonshire Avenue. Please follow the posted detour routes.
