Oxford Reads announces 2025 selection: Life in Two Worlds by Ted Nolan
Community-wide book club invites readers to explore a powerful story of identity, resilience, and belonging
Oxford County Library and Woodstock Public Library are proud to announce the 2025 selection for Oxford Reads: Life in Two Worlds: A Coach’s Journey from the Reserve to the NHL and Back by Ted Nolan.
In this deeply personal memoir, former NHL coach Ted Nolan reflects on his life growing up on the Garden River First Nation, his path through professional hockey, and the challenges he faced as an Indigenous person navigating both his community and the world of professional sports. Nolan’s story is one of perseverance, cultural identity, and the importance of staying true to your roots.
Residents across Oxford County are invited to borrow a copy of the book and join the community-wide book club. Copies are available through Oxford County Library and Woodstock Public Library in print, e-book and audiobook formats, with book club sets also available for group discussions.
Now in its eighth year, Oxford Reads continues to connect readers across the County, encouraging dialogue and celebrating Canadian literature. Additional programming will be announced in September, including details for the Oxford Reads Gala this fall.
