Experience collections, exhibits & featured stories from archives, museums & heritage groups

The public is invited to join Oxford County Library on a virtual journey of Oxford County’s past to celebrate the second annual Oxford Local History Day on Saturday, April 23, 2022.

This Oxford County Library initiative will delve into the pioneers and places of Oxford’s past on the library’s social media pages (Facebook and Youtube) with featured presentations from local organizations and people throughout the day.

Oxford Local History Day recognizes Oxford’s history and encourages others to discover the story of our County with local historians who will be sharing their collections. Some featured presentations include an author chat with Thomas Crowl about Oxford County’s lady swindler, a tour of Ingersoll Rural Cemetery, stories of the Heroes of Zorra, who served our County from the 1860s to present and information about historical names and places in Tillsonburg from Annandale National Historic Site & Museum.
