Canada Post resumes mail delivery - October 2025
Canada Post mail and parcel delivery has resumed, but delays should be expected as the Canadian Union of Postal Workers switch to rotating strikes and work through undelivered mail volume. Oxford County services affected by the strike have resumed.
Garbage bag tags and water backflow tags
Online garbage bag tag and water backflow tag purchases through the Shopify store have resumed but delays should be expected.
As a reminder, garbage bag tags continue to be available at municipal offices and authorized retail locations across Oxford County, such as convenience stores, grocery stores and gas stations. For a list of current vendors selling Oxford County bag tags, visit www.oxfordcounty.ca/bagtags.
Water backflow tags continue to be available at the Oxford County Administration Building at 21 Reeve Street in Woodstock or by calling 519-539-9800 ext. 3915.

Some mail delivery has resumed but delays should be expected. Monthly cheques will continue to be made available for pick up at your local office.
Community Planning
Public meeting schedules and associated notice requirements were not impacted by the Canada Post strike.

The inter-library loan service allows for borrowing materials from libraries across Ontario. All other library services remain uninterrupted.
