Oxford County Paramedic Services to distribute annual blanket donation

Oxford County Paramedic Services and the Oxford County Insurance Brokers Association have once again partnered to distribute 75 “blankets of care” to individuals who have suffered a traumatic event, are experiencing homelessness, or need extra comfort and warmth during an emergency.

Every year, the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) donates thousands of purple fleece blankets and volunteers their time to a variety of charities around the province. The donation is a reminder that insurance brokers are committed and active in their communities.

Joe Vandermeer, Commander – Operations, Oxford County Paramedic Services

“We are honoured to partner with this organization to get these blankets in the hands of our most in-need individuals. Emergencies and traumatic events are often emotional and any additional support we can offer a patient can go a long way.”
