Facilities Driver

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Driver will focus on delivering service excellence in supporting the Facilities maintenance and technical staff in day-to-day tasks and to provide support to the maintenance team during home repairs ensuring visit safety.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provides the following support and services to the County facilities division including:
- Distribute Notice of Entry (NOE) documentation to designated social housing units within the County.
- Escort contractors to provide access to social housing or other County-owned properties.
- Facilitate the pickup and delivery of materials or supplies to staff members at job sites.
- Assist facilities staff in visiting locations identified as potential risks, in accordance with the Community Outreach & Home Visit policy.
- Perform data collection/take photos in the field to assist other County staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:
- Post-secondary education not required, however would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated experience working in a customer service setting
- General understanding of building parts and components
- Ability to demonstrate the required competencies for this position in alignment with Oxford County’s competency framework.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with key stakeholders to deliver programs and services.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team.
- Understanding of role specific health and safety responsibilities, and ensured compliance with internal and external safety policies, procedures, and legislation, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Valid Ontario drivers’ license required.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Works primarily outside of an office environment requiring flexibility to work in multiple work locations both indoor and outdoor as needed.
- Involves driving to different County-owned sites.
- May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions associated with construction sites, buildings and clients.
