POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the Information Technology (IT) Team, the Systems and Applications Analyst is responsible for the design, installation and support for servers and server-based applications maintained by Oxford County IT.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science and Information Technology or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft desktop operating systems and productivity suites.
- Demonstrated recent experience administering Windows and Linux based servers.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Competent working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Entra, Exchange, Teams and SharePoint.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of networking technologies
- Thorough troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to take initiative, work independently, and handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Experience supporting Macintosh computers (laptops/workstations) (asset).
- Previous front-line customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience supporting SCADA systems (asset).
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification (asset).
- Knowledge of relevant trends, best practices and legislation and regulations.
- Valid Ontario drivers’ license required.
- An acceptable Criminal Record Check will be required.
