POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Information Technology (IT) Team, the Systems and Applications Analyst is responsible for the design, installation and support for servers and server-based applications maintained by Oxford County IT.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science and Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft desktop operating systems and productivity suites.
  • Demonstrated recent experience administering Windows and Linux based servers.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Competent working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Entra, Exchange, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of networking technologies 
  • Thorough troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to take initiative, work independently, and handle confidential information with discretion and integrity. 
  • Experience supporting Macintosh computers (laptops/workstations) (asset).
  • Previous front-line customer service experience is preferred. 
  • Experience supporting SCADA systems (asset). 
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification (asset).
  • Knowledge of relevant trends, best practices and legislation and regulations.
  • Valid Ontario drivers’ license required.
  • An acceptable Criminal Record Check will be required.
