MAIN DUTIES:
Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Nutritional Services:
Helps prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with the resident's diet requirements at meal times, sets and clears dining rooms, is responsible for the washing of all dishes, silverware, pots and pans, the preparation of vegetables and assisting with serving in dining rooms. Performs all duties in accordance with the organization’s mission, vision, and value statements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Enrolment or completion of the Food Service Worker certificate is an asset. Will consider experience in healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality settings. Ability to understand both written and verbal communication. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and multi-task. Skilled in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
- Must have current Food Handler certificate.
