MAIN DUTIES:

Supports and works with the Director of Care to plan, coordinate, and supervise the effective and efficient delivery of Woodingford Lodge nursing services to align to the Fixing Long Term Care Act (FLTCA), 2021.  All Woodingford Lodge employees are responsible for supporting the home’s focus on Person and Family-Centred care by promoting and encouraging residents to be an active partner in their health care, the ADOC oversees all nursing staff. 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in Nursing. Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Completion of a certificate/diploma in gerontology studies, long term care management or DOC/ADOC Certificate would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated management experience in a unionized environment. Experience in a long-term care setting is an asset.   
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutes and regulations related to Long-Term Care including the Resident’s Bill of Rights, Fixing Long Term Care Act and occupational health and safety.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver programs, services and outcomes. 
  • Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork, lead and empower teams and guide effective project management outcomes.   
  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence and a vehicle with insurance is required.
