Laboratory testing confirms tap water is safe for normal use

The boil water advisory issued for Hickson residents in the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock on January 4, 2023, due to the presence of bacteria in the water has been rescinded (ended) by Southwestern Public Health. This follows two (2) consecutive laboratory tests confirming that the tap water is safe for normal use.

Southwestern Public Health recommends that residents on the Hickson Drinking Water System run their taps for five (5) minutes to flush out their taps.

Those who received a Southwestern Public Health boil water advisory to their homes will receive an update confirming that it has ended.

Oxford County appreciates the patience and cooperation of Hickson residents.
