Licensed child care providers can opt-in to Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care program

All licensed child care providers in Ontario are eligible to apply to participate

 

On March 28, the provincial and federal governments announced plans to implement the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) funding program to make child care more affordable for families and increase compensation for eligible child care staff. Licensed child care providers who want to enroll in the CWELCC program must notify Oxford County of their intention to do so by November 1, 2022.

Huron Street and Oxford Road 17 closed for construction August to October

Oxford County is advising residents of two construction projects in Woodstock that will have an impact on local traffic.

The next phase of the watermain extension in northeast Woodstock began August 2, closing Oxford Road 17 from Oxford Road 4 to Township Road 13 (local traffic permitted). Motorists are asked to follow the posted detours on Township Road 13, County Road 33, and Oxford Road 60. This work is expected to run to October 2022.

Addley assumes Interim CAO role on September 6 after departure of current CAO Michael Duben

Oxford County Council has appointed Ben Addley, Chief/Director of Paramedic Services, as Interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) effective September 6, 2022.
