Oxford County Library and Woodstock Public Library are once again teaming up for the 2022 edition of Oxford Reads. Each year, this community-wide reading initiative highlights a featured work of Canadian literature and offers additional programming throughout the summer months to enhance the shared reading experience.

In advance of this year’s campaign, library staff are seeking input on the featured title. Anyone interested can vote for their favourite amongst a shortlist that includes:

  • From the Ashes, Jesse Thistle
  • Driven: The Secret Lives of Taxi Drivers, Marcello Di Cintino
  • Fight Night, Miriam Toews
  • What Strange Paradise, Omar El Akkad

Voting is open from Wednesday, April 6, until Monday, May 23, at 11:59 p.m. To learn more about this year’s shortlist and cast a vote, visit www.oxfordreads.ca

Oxford Reads will announce the winning title in June and extend an invitation to the author to attend the Oxford Reads Gala this fall hosted by CBC’s Chris dela Torre.
