ISAN Oxford (Indigenous Solidarity & Awareness Network- Oxford) invites the public to the raising of the Every Child Matters flag at the Oxford County Administration Building on Monday.

The flag is being raised ahead of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30 to recognize and honour those affected by the Indigenous residential school system and also the 60s Millennial Scoops, in which large numbers of Indigenous children were brought into the child welfare system in Canada.

ISAN-Oxford is a collaborative, not-for-profit network comprising Indigenous, mixed heritage and non-Indigenous allies with the common goal of actively working towards truth and reconciliation in Oxford County. The Every Child Matters flag will fly Monday, September 25 to Sunday, October 1, 2023 as part of Truth and Reconciliation Week and Remembering The Children: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 2023.
