Water and wastewater billing service agreements
A report to County Council on November 25 asks for approval to renew service agreements with the Town of Tillsonburg and ERTH Solutions, which provide billing, collections and customer service for the County’s water and wastewater accounts. The service agreements have now been timed to come forward for renewal at the same time, and go into effect January 1, 2021 for a five-year term with option for one-year extensions. Under the new agreementsthe billing providers remain the same, which means customers will see no change in their customer service contacts.

New affordable housing project in Woodstock
A proposal for 48 new affordable housing units on Southwood Way in Woodstock is before County Council on November 25. The project will be funded in part, or wholly, by the Province’s recently-announced Rapid Housing Initiative (RHI) to create new permanent, affordable housing units across the country. The Council report seeks $1.4 million from the Affordable Housing Reserve to start the development process. Construction would start in early 2021 with occupancy for the new units expected for March 2022.
