Oxford County Library re-opening Tillsonburg and Ingersoll branches
In-person browsing of library material will resume at Tillsonburg and Ingersoll branches starting Monday, July 5 at reduced occupancy. Public access computers will also be available at these two branches on July 5 for 30-minute appointments.
All rural branches will continue offering curbside services until further notice. Please check www.ocl.net for updates or email firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a library card for access to eBooks, movies, music and more 24/7 from home.
Oxford County Waste Management Facility re-opening for residential use on June 11
Effective Friday, June 11 at 8:30 a.m., the Oxford County Waste Management Facility (landfill) will re-open to residential customers for under regular operating hours of Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Remember, guidelines for physical distancing and face coverings still apply. Updated visitor guidelines at Woodingford Lodge
Starting July 16 Woodingford Lodge is allowing both indoor and outdoor visits with no limits on the number of visitors permitted. Visitors must follow specific guidelines dependent on the immunization status of the visitor and resident. For details please see the visitor guidelines.
Oxford County Paramedics offering new rapid COVID-19 testing
Oxford County Paramedic Services is offering a new COVID-19 rapid testing program to help increase access to testing in symptomatic school-aged children. The program uses ID Now COVID-19 Analyzers which can perform a 15-minute test. Appointments are booked through the Woodstock Hospital Assessment Centre and take place at the Oxford County Paramedic Services Mill Street station. More information can be found here.
EarlyON Child and Family Centres
EarlyON Child and Family Centres offer free and engaging programs throughout Oxford County for parents and caregivers with children aged 0-6 years. Outdoor programs are now being offered in addition to EarlyON's existing Virtual Village programs. Provincial Offences Courts resume by audio and video appearance
Provincial Offences Courts have resumed by audio and video appearance (Zoom) only. There will be no in-person court appearances until further notice. If you have requested a trial on a Part I matter (ticket) the trial will be scheduled by Zoom video appearance. Shipping charges now apply to online bag tag orders
The extension of free shipping on online bag tags orders (originally set to end on December 31, 2020) ended on February 12. All online orders received moving forward will have shipping fees applied. Bag tags remain available through online purchasing at www.wasteline.ca/bagtags.
County Council during COVID-19
In compliance with the State of Emergency declared by the Province of Ontario due to COVID-19, specifically measures to limit public gatherings and reinforce physical distancing, all Oxford County Council meetings are being held electronically until further notice. Accessing service at Oxford County Administration Building
The Oxford County Administration Building is serving the public by telephone, email, or appointment between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. only. This means the general public will not be allowed to enter the building without a pre-booked appointment except for deliveries. The designated entry point for all pre-booked visits is the Peel Street entrance (south doors). Once you enter for an appointment, you will have to go through a screening process that includes taking your temperature with a touch-free infrared thermometer. You will also be asked to wear a face covering while on site. The online screening form is at www.oxfordcounty.ca/covid19screening

Oxford County Human Services (social assistance, housing and children’s services) is serving residents by pre-booked appointment only, or by telephone or email. Oxford County Archives
Starting August 3, the Oxford County Archives will be open by appointment only. Appointments must be booked at least 48 hours in advance and will be limited to one researcher per appointment OR researchers from the same household. Archives staff will continue to respond to research inquiries remotely through email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 519-539-9800, ext. 3071.
