Wage Enhancement/Home Child Care Enhancement Grant (HCCEG) funding will help to retain RECEs and support access to stable, high quality child care programs for children in Ontario.

The  wage enhancement grant will continue to support an increase of up to $2.00 per hour plus 17.5% benefits for eligible centre-based staff and home visitors. The HCCEG will support an increase of up to $20 per day for eligible home child care providers contracted with a licensed home child care agency.

The wage enhancement goals include:

• Close the wage gap between RECE’s working in the education sector and licensed child care sectors
• Stabilize licensed child care operators by helping them to retain RECEs/child care staff
• Support greater employment and income security

Eligibility

All licensed child care centres and home child care agencies are eligible to apply for wage enhancement/HCCEG funding. Eligibility is based on an application process and can contact Human Services at humanservices@oxfordcounty.ca for more information
