Local dignitaries cutting the ribbon on the brand new Nellis Towers affordable housing building

Representatives from Oxford County, Woodstock Non-Profit Housing Corporation, and the City of Woodstock were on hand for the grand opening of Nellis Towers on May 23.

Nellis Towers is Oxford County’s largest affordable housing project to date. A total of 62 of the building’s 98 units for seniors are allocated to affordable rents (rent set at or below market rate for households with moderate income). This project shows how Oxford’s “Housing First” policy presented an opportunity to work with partners to use surplus vacant County land to address housing needs.

Oxford County administers a variety of housing programs, drawing on funding from all levels of government to support the creation of affordable and supportive housing.
