Remembrance DayFriday, November 11, 2022, is Remembrance Day, a day for Canadians to honour and remember the men and women who have served and sacrificed their lives for our country. Give pause at 11:00 a.m. on November 11 to remember those who served and are still serving Canada in times of war, military conflict, and peace.

If you wish to pay your respects in person, some of the larger Remembrance Day ceremonies in Oxford County include the following.
 

City of Woodstock

Friday, November 11, 2022 at 10:15 a.m.

The service will begin with pre-laying of wreaths at 10:15 a.m. at the Victoria Park Cenotaph. The Walking March will proceed to the cenotaph at 10:45 a.m. where the ceremony will commence.

Town of Ingersoll

Friday, November 11, 2022 at 10:15 a.m.

The ceremony begin at the cenotaph with a procession to the First Baptist Church beginning at 9:45 a.m. After the conclusion of the mass, the parade will return to the Cenotaph. The Remembrance Day Ceremony will begin shortly after 10:30 a.m.

Town of Tillsonburg

Friday, November 11, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.

The day will start off with a Silent Walk from the terminus of Veterans Memorial Walkway (Rolph Street) and Bridge Street to the cenotaph where the Remembrance Day ceremony will commence at 10:45 a.m.

Town of Norwich

Friday, November 11, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.

The Legion colour party will muster at Branch 190 at 10:30 a.m. and parade to the Norwich Cenotaph at 11:00 a.m. for the day’s service.
