Several opportunities available for residents who want to make a difference in their community


If you would like to contribute more to your community, Oxford County is looking for engaged citizens to join one of several boards and committees.

As a board or committee member, you will provide advice and recommendations to County Council on matters that affect our entire community. There are currently 26 positions open for the 2023 - 2026 council term.

The openings include:

  • Accessibility Advisory Committee – six (6) citizens
  • Agricultural and Planning Advisory Committee – two (2) citizens
  • Active Transportation Advisory Committee – six (6) citizens
  • Oxford County Land Division Committee – seven (7) citizens
  • Oxford County Library Board – five (5) citizens

 

Residents interested in applying are asked to submit, in writing or by email, an application including a resume by November 25 at midnight to:

Serving on a community board or committee can be immensely rewarding. But it also requires a great deal of commitment and passion. Volunteering on a board or committee is a great way to share your talents while helping set strategic direction for the future.
