Development charges annual report to Council

The County’s annual report on development charges is before Council this week, showing that $8.75 million in charges were collected in 2020. Municipal development charges are collected and used to fund public infrastructure and services needed to support new housing and non-residential development. In response to significant growth in 2020, $9.5 million of development charge funds were invested in new infrastructure and services.

Committee of Management at Woodingford Lodge

Woodingford Lodge brings forward to Council its plans for a Committee of Management on April 28. With heightened attention on long-term care throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and with provincial government inspections raising the profile of legislative compliance, the County is formalizing its current efforts by establishing a committee to focus on funding accountability, service standards and continuous quality improvement, and financial and operating oversight.
