COVID-19 Media update: Oxford County Library re-opens Tillsonburg Public Library for limited on-site services
Oxford County Library re-opens Tillsonburg Public Library for limited on-site services
Today, the Oxford County Library is re-opening its Tillsonburg branch (Tillsonburg Public Library) for limited on-site services. This re-opening aligns with provincial directives in stage two of the staged approach to re-opening the province. All appropriate health and safety protocols will be in place and strictly followed to protect staff and patrons.
On-site services that will be available at the Tillsonburg branch will include five public access computers available for 30-minute timeslots for use by appointment only. Printing and copying services will only be available to computer centre users. Additionally, contactless book pick-up and drop-off will be available. As with the curbside service already in place, all patrons will be notified when their holds are ready to be picked up.
Physical distancing measures that will be followed include:
- limiting the number of people allowed in the facility at one time,
- one-way traffic flows through the facility,
- adherence to a rigorous cleaning and sanitization schedule,
- a requirement for staff and patrons to stay 2 metres (6 feet) apart at all times, and
- the encouragement of patrons to wear a face mask.
At this time, only the Tillsonburg branch will be re-opening for limited on-site services. Curbside pickup and delivery in Ingersoll will continue to be offered with extended hours. Curbside pickup is also available at 10 other Oxford County Library branches. Patrons are reminded not to visit the library unless they have been contacted by a staff member or by e-mail telling them that their holds are ready for pickup, or have booked an appointment for computer access.
