School Connectedness: Providing a Sense of Belonging
The Ontario Healthy Schools Coalition (OHSC) is an Ontario-wide coalition, with members from almost all of Ontario’s public health units as well as school boards, hospitals, mental health agencies, universities, health-related organizations, education-related organizations, parents and students.

Our keynote address will be by Dr. Betty Boldt. She is a world renowned speaker who will bring her knowledge and experience on the importance of school connectedness. Betty is a retired Assistant Superintendent of School District No. 43 (Coquitlam) in British Columbia, Canada. During her career she has held a variety of positions and her background experience ranges from primary to adult education. At present, Betty serves as a lead auditor for the Ministry of Education in BC and works with audit teams in the areas of Continuing Education, Regular Education and Distributed Learning.
